Best Bike Shorts For Women

Pearl Izumi Women's Sugar Short

Enjoy these shorts in terms of the comfort; however, the elastic banding can be quite uncomfortable. I'm hoping to take these to a tailor to remove the elastic to mimic more of a Louis Garneau waist line.

I typically wear a size 12 and ordered a Large and it fits well. I like which the band on the thigh is a little wider and doesn't create a 'bulge' on the thigh but it still holds the short in place. The chamois is comfortable and is breathable, but it is somewhat minimal. The seams are flat and well constructed. Overall a nice biking/spinning short and am glad with the buy.

These are fantastic bike shorts for women. The elastic around the thighs and waist do not dig in like some spandex-y bike shorts which sit on an area where us ladies tend to have a bit more flesh. The lycra material is a bit thinner than some, but are a fantastic intermediate priced bike short. The shamois (padded bum part) is pretty nice. This is my first pair of Pearl Izumi shorts, and at $45, fantastic short to try. And yes they are certainly shorter than most shamois bike shorts, but fantastic for getting a little tan on your thighs while peddling.

Fantastic riding shorts, i enjoy the length of it, they are shorter than the regular shorts. They too run a little big, i usually wear medium, but this ones i must reorder them in small.

I am currently trying to work up to a 20 mile ride (from basically nothing)...I took my first ride regarding 8 miles with no padding and can I say OUCH. I talked to my brother who told me a. I required to get "used to being in the saddle which long" and b. I necessitate a nice pair of padded bike shorts. Begin a "beginner" I did not want to spend a fortune...so the price was what first attracted me to this pair. I was somewhat nervous regarding ordering "tight" shorts because I'm a size 14 but I just went with what the sizing chart told me and ordered an XL...COMPLETE! I've ridden twice because I got these and it was a perfect 180 from my first ride...I although added 50 lbs of weight by pulling my son in the trailer behind my bike and the cushion is amazing! I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to take long rides (and the price is fantastic too). Well made too.

When I first tried on these shorts, I was pleasantly pleased with how they match and I enjoy the splash of pink on the sides. However, once I wearing them, I discovered they were a tiny bit also big. I don't like clothes form matching by any means, but when I am cycling, I like my bottoms to match me just correct. These shorts are by no means uncomfortable or taxing during a ride, they just don't match completely; that for my frame (I am a curvy 5 ft even), doesn't surprise me.

These are fantastic for spinning class. They keep you padded where you necessitate it but are not embarrassing to walk around in at the gym (doesn't look also bulky). They aren't really long, but aren't super short...just complete. They are made out of good material and I like the construction on the top, it keeps it from doubling over when sitting on your bike....and the bottoms stay put too. I am extremely glad with these shorts and may order more!

Cannot tell you how much I enjoy these shorts! They arrived the night before my 5am spinning class and I could not wait to get to class the next morning. They match fantastic--true to size, snug but not tight, and not also short (I was worried regarding which since I'm 5'10".) The padding is just correct--not also much, not also little and not also bulky to walk without feeling strange. Would highly recommend them--so much therefore I'm getting ready to order another pair!

I enjoy these shorts. They have a soft non-restrictive waist. The legs stay down with soft grip tape and the shorter inseam is good for shorter gals.

Match is extremely true to size. They wash and dry well. Substantial padding for spinning indoors and 20+ mile rides. Length is better on these than the Speed Short for my 5'10 frame. Legs are not also tight on my fairly lean but muscular build. Haven't stretched out. Legs stay in place extremely well, no rolling. Exactly recommend for warmer weather rides.

I just lately started cycling and was looking for some sort of padding after my first extremely painful ride. After the pain I applied these short to cycle once more on a road bike and it went extremely well. I actually enjoyed the ride minus the pain. The short length was mid thigh and I'm 5'4". I strongly recommended for beginners. I bought my first pair at a local bike shop, I'm back to order another pair... I had no chafing and the leg bands did not ride up during the ride.

I necessitated to buy a pair of cycling shorts which would leave a tan line I could hide while wearing a dress. I like these shorts since they are a little shorter and don't squeeze my legs. They tend to ride up a little since they don't have rubber strips squeezing your thighs. They just have little rubber dots instead that I discover much more comfortable. I buy these shorts in white, and then bought them once more in black. I placed a third order last night for some black ones with a cool design. They seem a little tighter but I still ordered my normal size and they don't feel also small by any means. The white shorts are HOT but beware if you have a black bike seat which the black from your seat will rub off on your shorts! I although got a new seat and which did not solve the trouble. I'm saving my white ones for my next bike when I finally get a WHITE seat.

I absolutely enjoy these shorts. They are comfortable and don't ride up. I had been using the spinning bike at the gym in regular clothes and had to cut my workout short the last time bc I was also sore. Which no longer the case. I highly recommend them.
